As part of the National Science Seminar, a Regional level Science Seminar is organised in the Centre for the state of Maharashtra.

A workshop is organised in collaboration with Bombay Association of Science Education (BASE) at the Centre every year. Teachers fabricate various models, using low cost material suitable for classroom teaching.

Nehru Science Centre, every year, arranges a series of Meet the Scientists programmes for students . Apart from the speeches delivered by the scientists, interactions between the audience and the scientist also takes place.

Training Camp for selection of participants for the National Olympiad is organised at the Centre and they are given lectures in Physics, Mathematics and Astronomical Sciences including observation and practical sessions by the experts in respective disciplines. This programme is organised in collaboration with Astronomical Society of India and is supported by ISRO.

Nehru Science Centre jointly with the education institutions arrange every year science quiz for the junior college students. This quiz is a multi dimensional programme which enhances problem solving ability for students.

The Symposium of Bombay Association for Science Education is held at the Centre during January February every year. This Symposium, an annual feature of BASE and Nehru Science Centre is attended by a large number of science teachers from all over the State of Maharashtra. The topics for the deliberations are chosen from state of the art, research in the field of Science and Technology.
