This hall tries to explain the art & science of lighting and light sources. What is the importance of illuminance and contrast for comfortable visual impact, light and colour perception, light and interior décor, appropriate light level, colour temperature etc. are all explained through interactive exhibits. The display of replica of Edison's Electric Lamp attracts every one in the history of lamps section. The hall also attempts to explain through panels about artificial lighting, concept of Colour Rendering Index (CRI), the moods created by light, light for detection, benefits of light management etc. Also a full section on the development of illumination technology and various light sources are also available on display.
